Issue Position

We have done well here in Massachusetts to improve our education system, but this in no way means that we can stop innovating the way we educate our children. I support school choice, home schooling, and the establishment of charter schools -- giving parents the best options for their child's education. I'm an advocate for merit based reviews for our teachers since retaining our most talented educators should be our first priority. I will not support in-state tuition rates for illegal immigrants, since it exhausts critical resources that could be used to assist students already burdened by increased tuition costs. I will also advocate for the inclusion of US History on our MCAS tests since this subject is essential for our students to understand the basic principles this great country was founded upon.
